Shopping for baby gifts is absolutely one of my favorite things to do. It’s so hard to stop buying all the things when it’s all so darn cute! I try my best to be practical with gifting because at the end of the day, no matter how adorable something is, if a baby won’t use it, they probably don’t need it. I look for things that will get used often, keep them happy, and are made to last. I rarely buy something before reading reviews from real parents so after I do my research, I feel ready to shop. I’m SO excited to celebrate the twins’ first Christmas this year and have some friends who also had pandemic babies; so needless to say, I have lots of littles to shop for this season and I’m NOT mad about it. Here’s a peek at some things I’ll be gifting to the wee ones this Christmas…

  1. Play Gym / So I’ve mentioned this gym by Lovevery in some of my other posts because it literally has everything a baby could need and I love LOVE the design. For infants, a dedicated space for play, tummy time, and be independent is a must-have. This specific mat will provide a whole year of play with developmental zones that are geared toward each age as baby grows and comes with a guide of age-appropriate activities and milestones. Best part, it’s machine washable!
  2. Soft Building Blocks / My older boys loved these when they were babies and this set comes in the most perfect color palette. Each block has a number, pattern, animal, and more to keep babies thinking while they play.
  3. Cuddle + Kind Dolls / The entire line (with dozens of animals and sizes) by Cuddle + Kind is super adorable and most importantly, provides ten meals to children in need around the world with every sale.
  4. Wooden Stacking Toy / Anything that can help babies learn is a win in my book so stacking toys like this one (by my favorite Melissa & Doug) is great for color recognition and practicing hand-eye coordination. Also comes in a pastel color scheme, too!
  5. Walker Wagon / There are a ton of different walker styles out there but we’ve always loved how Radio Flyer made one that’s multi-purpose. I remember like it was yesterday how Bennett would push his wagon around with all of his little baby toys and blankies loaded up inside; so sweet! Unlike some other walkers, this one has resistance clickers to avoid moving too quickly and has a built-in furniture bumper because babies are why we can’t have nice things lol.
  6. Muslin Swaddles / All four of my kids have had their own set of Aden + Anais swaddles as a baby and even my 6-year-old still has his. They’re SO well made and only get softer with time. Now there are so many fun prints and patterns to choose from, it’s almost hard to decide. These make a great gift and will definitely get plenty of use by little ones. Shout out to my friends at BuyBuyBaby for letting us use their store coupons when purchasing…what can I say, I love a good deal!
  7. Natural Teether / Sophie the Giraffe is the OG teether in the baby world but now comes in a closed design (original Sophie and others here) with different textures and right now the twins have been ob-sessed with their Sophie. The easy-to-grab handles are perfect for little hands and when those teeth are coming in hot, any baby could use a Sophie of their own.
  8. Activity Center / I love this standing activity center by Skip Hop because it lasts well into toddlerhood. The adjustable height is perfect for infants but also turns into a table for toddlers who can cruise or stand. BONUS: they sell a pair of coordinating chairs that are super stylish and functional and I’m here for it! This would make a great “bigger” gift for a special baby in your life.
  9. Foam Climber / I’m new to the climbing scene but I don’t know why I never had a setup like this with my older boys. These are great for cruisers and tiny tots who want to explore but not wreck themselves while doing it. The manufacturer has a ton of different layouts to choose from and I’m a big fan!

That’s all for now friends…my list for toddlers is posting soon. Btw, what are you gifting the babies in your life?
