It’s October 1st so we’re gearing up for all things Halloween, sort of. Since we’re not sure about trick-or-treating and all the fun social stuff, for now, we’re going all in some spooky fun at home. While Halloween isn’t always a gift-giving holiday, for some reason my kids usually get a few special books every Halloween (thanks, Mimi) and well beyond October, they’ve become fan favorites. So – in no particular order, here’s a quick roundup of our most-loved Halloween reads for the littles. Enjoy!
- Curious George Hooray for Halloween by Margret & H.A. Rey
- Pete the Cat Trick or Pete by James Dean
- Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson
- Spooky Pookie by Sandra Boynton
- Ghost Afraid of the Dark by Sara Conway
- Clifford’s Halloween by Norman Bridwell
- Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds
- The Itsy Bitsy Pumpkin by Sonali Fry
- Ghost in the House by Ammi-Joan Paquette
